A National Youth Alive Launch/Pilgrimage has taken place for about one thousand youth and was held at the Christ The King Cathedral, Johannesburg.
The Theme of the Launch was: YOUTH ALIVE – RENEWING SOCIETY
The Purpose & Objectives of such a gathering was:
• To consolidate the message of Education for Life (abstinence, behaviour change, formation of conscience, promoting life…)
• To give a National voice to our identity as Catholic youth.
• To cement the EFL process by launching Youth Alive – with caution that YA is not another youth club but a way of life to reinforce values
• To pray with and for those who are affected and infected with HIV/AIDS
The Launch took the form of an all night vigil and took place from 27 th April Friday evening beginning at 18h00 sharp and concluding on 28 the April Saturday morning 10h00.
